Vertical tatau bands run the sleeves and the side seams, meeting again down the spine at the back. Black-on-black mineral wash with a single muted gold hairline topstitch. Built for full-speed play in cold air.
The Legend
Vertical bands down the arm and side were the wayfinder's marks, read against the horizon and the rising stars the way a chart is read. Navigators earned one band per crossing. The unbroken run from shoulder to hem meant the voyage was made without losing the line.
Every mark carried on this garment is drawn from the sacred tatau of the Ali'i Nui — struck by hand before it is ever printed on cloth. What was once worn in the skin is now worn into competition: the same protection, the same lineage, carried by a new generation of warriors.
Nothing here is decoration. The motif is a covenant — you are not buying a pattern, you are accepting stewardship of a story that refused to be erased.
